Star WardsThere's excellent, rarely publicised, practice across the country on acute mental health wards, with patients accessing high quality therapeutic, creative and recreational opportunities. Star Wards works with mental health trusts to enhance acute inpatients' daily experiences and treatment outcomes. Members of the Star Wards' network try to implement whichever of the 75 practical ideas are relevant to them, and our role is to support wards with information and resources. Members also generously share their own examples of great practice and also of challenges they face. Join Star Wards!150 wards are already members of Star Wards. "This has been the easiest initiative I have ever had to implement and has been extremely positively received by patients, staff and visitors alike." Get (and contribute to!) the regular e-newsletter, the Star Wards' website and our regional and national networking events. Healthcare assistants are eligible for the Star Awards achievement scheme and wards who have got all relevant 75 ideas in place win the Full Monty Award. Make the Healthcare Commission and the Mental Health Act Commission happy. Make your finance people happy - it's free to join! ![]() Star Wards ShopThe Star Wards shop is your place to buy Star Wards merchandise.
